Linhdai Truong D.D.S

Co-Owner – General Dentist

Dr. Linhdai Truong, the founder of Smiley Dental Care, established the practice in 2000 with the goal of creating a welcoming, family-friendly environment where patients feel truly at ease. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Truong brings over two decades of experience and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. She is proud to have her son, Dr. Tristin Nguyen, join her practice, continuing the family legacy of exceptional dental care. At Smiley Dental Care, Dr. Truong and her team are dedicated to providing personalized, gentle treatment that makes every patient feel like part of the family.

Tristin Nguyen D.D.S

Co-Owner – General Dentist

Dr. Tristin Nguyen is a skilled and compassionate general dentist dedicated to creating beautiful, healthy smiles. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He then advanced his training through a rigorous general practice residency at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he gained expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Now, Dr. Nguyen is excited to bring his passion for dentistry home, working alongside his mother, Dr. Linhdai Truong, to provide top-tier, patient-focused care.

Loc Tran D.D.S

Associate – General Dentist

Dr. Loc Tran has been a trusted associate at Smiley Dental Care since its founding in 2000, working alongside Dr. Linhdai Truong. Known for his gentle demeanor and compassionate care, Dr. Tran has built a loyal patient base who value his calm approach and dedication to their comfort. A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, he offers a wide range of dental services while always prioritizing patient well-being. Dr. Tran’s commitment to personalized, high-quality care has made him a key part of Smiley Dental Care for over two decades.

Caroline Chun D.D.S

Associate – Pediatric Dentist (June 2025)

Dr. Caroline Chun is a warm, caring, and highly skilled practitioner who makes every child feel safe, heard, and valued. Originally from Houston, TX, she earned her undergraduate degree from NYU in just three years before continuing her dental education at NYU College of Dentistry. She went on to complete a general practice residency and is currently pursuing a specialized pediatric dental residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, NY, set to complete in June 2025. Here, she is receiving advanced training in treating children of all ages, including those with complex medical conditions and special healthcare needs. Dr. Chun has a natural ability to connect with kids and ease their fears, all while transforming dental visits into fun, positive experiences. She believes that early, gentle care builds confidence and lifelong healthy habits, and she treats every child with the same patience and kindness she would want for her own family. Parents trust Dr. Chun for her expertise, warmth, and ability to make even the most nervous little patients leave with a big, bright smile.

Kaylie Nguyen D.D.S.

Associate – General Dentist/Periodontist (June 2025)

Dr. Kaylie Nguyen has been a proud Maryland resident since 2010 and is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She earned dual degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County before obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Currently, she is completing her Periodontics residency at the same institution, set to finish in 2025.

Passionate about the connection between oral health and overall well-being, Dr. Nguyen takes a personalized approach to patient care, ensuring every individual feels heard and comfortable throughout their treatment. Fluent in both Vietnamese and English, she enjoys building strong relationships with her patients. Outside of dentistry, she loves cooking, exploring new cuisines, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
